AHF Nepal is committed to supporting the Government of Nepal in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by expanding and strengthening HIV services. Since 2009, AHF Nepal has delivered HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and care in collaboration with 19 government-run ART clinics. Through its five-year initiative, “Sustaining the Gain” (2022–2027), AHF is enhancing the quality and reach of services by investing in capacity building, clinical mentoring, and technical assistance—implemented in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Population and under the guidance of the National Centre for AIDS and STD Control.

AHF prioritizes reaching key populations through peer-led HIV screening, targeted online outreach, STI and TB screening and referrals, and integrated community-based events. These efforts are supported by wide-scale condom distribution, prevention counseling, and strong linkage-to-care systems to ensure newly diagnosed individuals are promptly enrolled in treatment.

To ensure long-term impact, AHF Nepal continues to strengthen ART clinics by supporting human resources, conducting clinical and adherence training, and improving data management systems. Clients receive holistic support, including food assistance, laboratory services, transportation, and viral load monitoring. By addressing service delivery gaps and promoting inclusive, stigma-free healthcare, AHF Nepal remains a vital force in advancing the country’s HIV response.
